Executive Director
Lindsay Peterson
Lindsay has been with the organization since 2015 and has guided Roots & Rivers Collaborative into its current state.
She holds a BS in Environmental Geosciences with an Emphasis in Water Science from Northland College in Ashland, WI.
Originally from Foster City (Dickinson Co), Lindsay loves being able to work with the local communities she grew up in.
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys backpacking, gardening, & adventuring with her family & two dogs.
Program Director
Natalie Niesiwicz
Natalie grew up in Minnesota, spending lots of time hiking and camping with her family, instilling a deep love for nature.
After moving to Michigan, Natalie worked for the DNR at J.W. Wells State Park for two summers. That experience made her realize she wanted to stick with the natural resources field and keep learning about the environment and how to help protect it.
Natalie joined the Strike Team Crew in May 2024 and has been a Project Manager since September 2024.
Special Project Technician
Bryan Reitter
Bryan is a professional forester and will be assisting with special invasive species management projects in Menominee County.
2026 Field Technician
Brooke LaVoi
Brooke is from Bemidji, MN, and is currently pursuing a B.A. in environmental studies with a minor in statistics & data science at St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
In her free time she enjoys reading, crocheting, knitting, and boxing.
She's especially interested in plants, and currently very interested in learning more about wetland ecology.
2026 Field Technician
Anjuli White
Anjuli grew up in Ishpeming, Michigan before moving to Florence, Wisconsin in 2014. In her free time she enjoys fishing, ice-fishing specifically, camping, and swimming. She prefers spending nights outside, whether that be in a tent, next to a campfire, or on the ice.
Anjuli has a thirst for learning about the outdoors, especially invasive species. She is especially fond of rivers, streams, and lakes. Her plan is to attend UW-Steven’s Point in the fall of 2027 to pursue a degree in Natural Resources.
2026 Field Technician
Kabe Linton
Kabe is currently a student at Fox Valley Technical College in the Natural Resources field. Once he finishes his degree, he hopes to work in the restoration field in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
If not in restoration, then he would love to work in education at recreation facilities to teach the youth about the importance of nature.
